Blood And Sand

3/4 Oz scotch (your call)
3/4 Oz blood orange juice
3/4 Oz Sweet Vermouth
3/4 Oz Cherry Heering

put over ice in a shaker
shake
strain
serve with orange peel garnish

substitutions

scotch, whatever floats your boat, it's a cocktail so unless you have all the other named ingredients I'd keep it on the low end of good.

blood orange juice is not real common. a good substitute is oj with a splash of ruby red grapefruit juice

cheery heering is actually the hardest to substitute. some other high end cherry liquor maybe. its pretty common at high end bars and if you don't have it at home....you should, its really versatile and goes with a vast array of drinks.
