Simple Syrup

measure out 2 cups of table sugar and 2 cups distilled water.. in a heavy sause pan over med heat allow mix to heat just to the very first stage of boiling then remove from heat stir allow to cool (add flavor if desired while cooling) this will keep in fridge infanitly if sealed air tight..
